Thank you to everyone who came out and visited Blandford for Sugarbush. We hope everyone who visited us had a great time, and was able to learn about the process of making maple syrup.

We also want to say thank you to all our volunteers who helped out with Sugarbush. Whether you were ringing up sales in the General Store, boiling sap in the Sugarshack, or guiding tours down the Sugarbush Trail, we are very grateful.

A special thank you also goes out to all of our sponsors this year!

Youth Farm Team is Back

Once again, Blandford is hosting a summer program designed to teach youth about farming, local foods and our community. This program will teach you not only how to farm and garden, but how to be a leader in your community. Click here for more details

Blandford Nature Center

Our Hours:

The Visitor Center at Blandford Nature Center is open Monday through Friday, 9-5. The trails are open everyday, from dawn to dusk.

Our General Store is run on a volunteer basis and generally open every day. To check what hours it will be open, please call (616) 735.6240

Directions:

Blandford Nature Center is located at the end of Hillburn Avenue, north of Leonard Street in Northwest Grand Rapids. Follow. U.S. 131 until the Leonard Street exit, and travel west about 3.5 miles to Hillburn.

RAPID buses stop at the corner of Hillburn Avenue and Leonard Street. A 2/3-mile walk north on Hillburn brings you to our Visitor Center. For more information, call The Rapid at (616) 776-1100, or visit their website.

Programs

Join one of our Programs! A variety of year-round innovative, multidisciplinary programs are available on and off site. These include K-5 elementary, home school, Traveling Naturalist, Mixed Greens school gardens, Blandford Farm,Discovery Day Camp as well as custom programs with facility rentals. Historical Buildings

Visit the many historic pioneer buildings. Our 19th century authentic Star Schoolhouse
(available for rent), log cabin and sugarhouse provide a great educational experience. The General Store sells a variety of goods- from old fashioned candies and toys to educational tools for exploring the outdoors.

Annual Events

There is no better time to visit Blandford than during one of our annual festivals! Stop by Sugarbush in March to taste fresh maple syrup produced from our own trees.Visit the Fall
Harvest Festival in October and take a ride on our horse-drawn wagon, paint pumpkins, and much more for fall!
